Testing The Ghost Pipe / Indian Pipe Flower

A few months ago I stumbled upon a section of forest that was, to my delight, full of Ghost Pipe Flowers! I had heard of their medicinal benefits when turned into a tincture and decided to harvest some based on their abundance in this area. If you would like to see them in nature you can check out my video here: Ghost Pipe!

After harvesting some flowers I decided to make a tincture, a home brewed medicine. After letting it sit for around 60 days I started to experiment with it.

First I tested the dosing. I started at 1 drop and worked my way up to 20 drops.

I also tested it in various circumstances:

Empty vs full stomach

Morning vs mid day vs evening

Topically vs Orally

Then I tested against various conditions:

Headache, burns, cuts, general aches, surgical pains

I filmed this process here: Testing and Results

Conclusion:

So after all was said and done my honest opinion, at least for my body and mind, was no notable effect!

It has numbing properties but as far as pain relief is just didn’t work. I was super dissapointed by this result and went into it with a bias to want it to work as an alternative to modern medicines, but unfortunately that wasn’t the result I got.

Let me know in the comments if your experience was any different!
